Abdullah to Expand its LED Network
New Delhi-based Abdullah Lighting Systems (ALS), an ISO 9001-2008 certified company, is vying for dealers for its LED lighting products. “We currently have 38 dealers, and want to touch the 50 mark by the end of the current fiscal,” says Md Rafi (rafi@abdullahlighting.in), MD of the company. The company is looking for dealers in Maharashtra, Rajasthan, MP, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. “Interested parties should have prior experience of working with well-known brands.”
Talking about growth drivers for the lighting segment, Rafi believes that rapidly increasing application of LED-based lighting is paving the way for growth. According to him, solid state lighting technology has opened up numerous opportunities by enabling compact and customised lighting solutions, which were not possible using conventional light sources like incandescent and CFLs. “Also, the government has played its role by giving excise benefits to LED light manufacturers, besides pushing LED based solar lighting systems for street light applications.”
Rafi says that his company has recently set up an assembling unit in IP Industrial Area in Delhi with an investment of `30 lakh. “The unit is equipped with hi-tech machines and cutting edge technology that assist in producing our range as per clients’ specifications, that too within the stipulated time.” He further informs that the company has a competent engineering team, which is supported with latest design software and equipment. “We are in regular liaison with leading optic and driver manufacturers, who provide their technical help as and when required.”
ALS manufactures a gamut of products used in gardens, streets, commercial buildings, residential complexes, etc. “In garden lights alone we have as many as 800 variants. All our products carry a three year warranty, which no other manufacturers are giving at present. We use LED chips from Osram and Edison Opto, and lenses from LED Link, while PCBs and drivers are sourced from Indian makers.”
